University Chairwoman Jin Nuo visits Israel to attend Tel Aviv University's "Confucius Institute Day"

From the 31st October to 3rd November, an RUC delegation led by Chairwoman Jin Nuo traveled to Israel to visit the Confucius Institute that RUC helped to establish, alongside Tel Aviv University and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Chairwoman Jin and two high-ranking school officials participated in in-depth discussions on future exchanges and cooperative projects. This visit served to both promote the continued development of the Confucius Institute, as well as future cooperative opportunities between RUC and Tel Aviv University.
During the visit, Chairwoman Jin was accompanied by Chinese Ambassador to Israel, Gao Yanping. The two of them jointly worked to promote educational cooperation and development, especially strengthening the exchanges with RUC in the humanities field, discussing the management of Tel Aviv University’s Confucius Institute, and discussing other possible exchange ideas and opportunities.
On 2nd November, Chairwoman Jin, along with Tel Aviv University History and East Asian Studies Professor Aron Shai and Tel Aviv University Head of the S. Daniel Abraham Center for International and Regional Studies Dr. Raanan Rein discussed strengthening the Confucius Institute and developing more exchanges for students and professors. After the talks, Chairwoman Jin, Dr. Rein and Tel Aviv University Confucius Institute Director Dr. Ori Sela presented 17 certificates of achievement to Tel Aviv Confucius Institute students. Chairwoman Jin invited more international students to both visit RUC but also participate in the “Confucius Chinese Studies” doctoral program, as well as invited more Tel Aviv professors to lecture at RUC.
On 2nd November, Chairwoman Jin participated in “Confucius Institute Day” in which Tel Aviv University students and locals were able to experience an exciting display of Chinese culture.
