RUC Ranks First for 2015 Publications in Social Sciences in China

th, the prestigious Chinese quarterly
Social Sciences in China announced its 2015 publication rankings. Among institutions of higher learning in China, Renmin University of China ranked No. 1 for its numerous publications in the journal, while in the category of the number of writers, including second and third authors, RUC tied with Peking University for first place.

Among the institutions that published in the journal in 2015, the Chinese think tank Chinese Academy of Social Sciences came in first overall, with Renmin University of China and Peking University placing second and third respectively. China University of Political Science and Law and Nanjing University tied for fourth, while Tsinghua University and Zhejiang University tied for fifth. Zhongshan University and Beijing Normal University ranked sixth and seventh, respectively. Nankai University and Wuhan University tied for eighth; Fudan University and East China Normal University ranked ninth and tenth respectively.
In 2015,
Social Sciences in China published articles written by 187 authors, including second and third authors, representing 76 institutions altogether. 13 authors were based at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, accounting for the largest percentage with about 6.95%. Authors from Renmin University of China and Peking University each had eleven scholars, making up 5.88%. Tsinghua University and Nanjing University tied for third place with eight authors each, accounting for 4.28%. With seven authors each, Zhongshan University and Fudan University tied for fourth, accounting for 3.74%. China University of Political Science and Law ranked fifth with a total of six authors, accounting for 3.21%.
