At the second national academic conference on Chinese social security held at Beijing’s Friendship Hotel last week, RUC President LIU Wei was invited to give the opening keynote speech. This year’s conference, held from February 20^th to 21^st, was organized around the theme “Shared Development and Constructing China’s Social Security System.” The secretariat of the China Association of Social Security, who hosted the event, is located on RUC’s campus. CPPCC Vice Chairman HAN Qide, Vice Chairman of the 11^th Standing Committee of the NPC, HUA Jianmin, and Vice Chairwoman of the Eleventh CPPCC National Committee, ZHANG Meiying, attended the conference and delivered keynote speeches.
