On the morning of February 29th, RUC President LIU Wei met with Kanazawa University’s President Shinichi Nakamura. The two sides signed a memorandum of understanding on student exchanges between their schools.   During their meeting, President LIU gave an introduction to Renmin University before his Japanese visitor reviewed the general situation at Kanazawa University and the two presidents discussed in detail their plans for developing long-term cooperation, including a student exchange program. A leading comprehensive university in Japan, Kanazawa University has trained a number of outstanding scholars and professionals in their fields, most notably in the natural sciences and medicine. Both schools strongly value internationalization and thus welcome this opportunity for academic collaboration and developing student exchanges. RUC Vice President YI Zhihong was also present to welcome the Japanese delegation. After the meeting, the visiting delegation toured RUC’s School of Public Administration.
