While attending an international discussion forum on Chinese civil law held at the University of Toulouse in southwestern France last month, RUC Executive Vice President WANG Liming, Dean of RUC’s Law School HAN Dayuan, Director of the Sino-French Institute ZHU Xinkai, and Vice Dean of RUC’s International College, SHI Jiayou, held a working meeting with the Law School of Toulouse University (at Toulouse 1 University Capitole) on developing a program for Sino-foreign exchanges for the study of law. The conference, jointly hosted by RUC’s Law School and Toulouse 1 University Capitole from February 17^th-19^th, was organized around the theme “Toward a Chinese Civil Code,” a topic that has recently drawn a great deal of scholarly attention from legal scholars around the world.
