Forum on “Internationalization of Higher Education and French Education Reform” Held at RUC’s Suzhou Campus

On April 16th, Renmin University’s Suzhou Campus held a summit forum on the “Internationalization of Higher Education and French Education Reform” hosted by RUC’s Sino-French Institute and jointly sponsored by the French Language Advisory Board under China’s Ministry of Education and the Chinese Research Association for French Language Teaching. 111111 Those in attendance included the director of the MoE’s French Language Advisory Board, President of Sichuan International Studies University, LI Keyong, RUC’s Vice President for International Affairs, Professor YI Zhihong, and Vice President of Paul Valéry University of Montpellier, Yann BISIOU. 一直红1 Vice President YI Zhihong offered a basic introduction to Renmin University’s Sino-French Institute, explaining that “the institute is an integral part of the university’s educational initiatives and a pilot project in RUC’s ongoing program of internationalization.” Its purpose is to consolidate the best of China’s and France’s educational resources and foster talent mobility between the two countries. With the steadfast support of the Chinese Ministry of Education, the Sino-French Institute has steadily deepened and continues to optimize its international exchanges; already, it has become one of most important bases for the promotion of French language and culture in China, a significant platform for cross-cultural dialogue and academic exchanges. The summit forum brought together noted scholars and experts overseeing internationalization efforts in Chinese higher education form all around the country and offered an excellent opportunity to draw on each other’s experiences in the Chinese and French efforts toward internationalization and higher education reform. 生煎学 裴亚林 李克用 Yann-BISIOU
