Renmin University Press Establish a China Translation and Publishing Centre, Facilitating Cultural Exchange and Cooperation Between the Two Countries

st of October, the ceremony to commemorate the beginning of China-Mongolian Cultural Cooperation was held in Ulaanbaatar. President of Renmin University Press LI Yongqiang lead a group to attend the opening ceremony, and, together with the Mongolian side, established the China Translation and Publishing Centre. This centre is one of the significant cultural collaborative projects introduced by CCP Central Committee member and Chairman of the Central Secretariat LIU Yunshan during his visit to Mongolia.
During the time in Mongolia, the group from Renmin University Press visited representatives from the Mongolian Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports, the Mongolian National University, and local publishing houses, so as to strengthen collaboration between Mongolian culture and education institutions and publishing organisations. This visit is also a great opportunity to promote a deepening of Sino-Mongolian cultural exchange. Department Head in Charge of Imports from the Chinese State Press and Publication Administration of Radio and Television JIANG Maoning also participated as part of the group of representatives from Renmin University Press visiting Mongolia.
The Minister of the Mongolian Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports was in attendance, signalling his approval at the creation of the Centre, highlighting the importance that this centre will have in promoting cross-cultural exchange.
On the first of October, the group of representatives attended the Sino-Mongolian Cultural Cooperation opening ceremony. LIU Yunshan gave a speech during the ceremony, cutting the ribbon for the China Translation and Publishing Centre established by Renmin University Press and Mongolia National University.
Included in the group were chief editor of the Renmin University school paper JIANG Ruifeng and the Director of the Renmin University Press International Publishing Centre, LIU Yehua and Copyright Manager of the International Cooperation Office YAN Yu.
