On the 24^th of November, Vice President ZENG Xianjun of Chongqing University of Technology (CQUT) held a meeting with RUC Vice President HE Yaomin to conduct an investigation into asset management systems. The meeting began with Vice President HE formally welcoming Vice President ZENG to RUC. He highlighted the fact that RUC attaches great importance to academic exchange with its partner university of CQUT, expressing the hope that these exchanges will help strengthen their relationship. In years prior, the development of RUC’s university-run industries has been stable and of high quality. At present, whilst the nation is in the midst of deepening enterprise reforms, both our institutions face the problem of how to meet the challenge of the task of university-run enterprise management. He finished by stating his hope that this talk between the schools would have a positive outcome. Following, Vice President ZENG briefed Vice President HE on the current situation of university-run enterprises at CQUT, the reasons for his visit to RUC and what he was investigating in particular, expressing hope that it would also serve to strengthen exchange and friendship between the two universities, and that CQUT could learn from RUC’s example. Assistant to the President LI Jiu was also present at the meeting. During the talk, both sides held a lively and detailed discussion on the many issues surrounding successfully running asset management systems.
