President of the China Institute of Industrial Relations LIU Xiangbin and Delegation Visit RUC

th of November, the President of the China Institute of Industrial Relations (CIIR) LIU Xiangbin led a delegation to visit RUC. Vice Chairman of the University Council WANG Liming met with President LIU and delegation to hold a discussion on how to establish think-tanks, how to manage scientific research and other issues of interest.

The meeting began with Vice Chairman WANG formally greeting President LIU. He noted that as an important site for research in the humanities and social sciences, RUC has a lot of experience in such matters as scientific research, course building and establishing think-tanks. He affirmed that RUC highly values the relationship with CIIR, and hopes that this meeting will serve to deepen collaboration, so that we can learn from each other’s strengths to offset each other’s weaknesses, and make a significant national contribution to academic research and support for both sides.

Following, President LIU briefed Vice Chairman WANG on the present circumstances and development of CIIR, expressing hope that this meeting would serve to strengthen exchanges with RUC, to strengthen the foundation of our collaborative partnership, and to aid CIIR in making new breakthroughs in the task of course development.

During the meeting, both sides held engaging discussions on such issues as establishing think-tanks, research management, the function and operation of academic committees, and developing the library and the Institute’s journal. After the meeting, President LIU and delegation went on a visit to the National Academy of Development and Strategy and the Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies.
