On September 25th, the 2021 Confucius Institute Day activities were held in Leipzig. The theme of the event was "East Meets East," which aimed to show the exchanges between different cultures of China, featuring its oriental civilization, and Leipzig in the eastern part of Germany. The event included three sections of contemporary art exhibition, Chinese culture experience, and Chinese music concert. Cultural experience activities included calligraphy, knot making, postcard design, and stories telling. In the evening, Chinese folk music artist Wu Fengxia, and German violinist Gunda Gottschalk performed a piece combining Chinese and German folk music.
