Evgeny Vlasov, Vice-Rector of Russia Far Eastern Federal University led a delegation to visit Renmin University of China (RUC) on September 27th.
Du Peng, Vice President of RUC, welcomed the delegation. He introduced RUC to the group about its history, construction of disciplines, the Sino-French Institute, the Silk Road School, the Belt and Road International Business School, the Smart Governance Institute and the construction of the new Tongzhou campus.
Du Peng also said that the two schools should take this visit as an opportunity to explore cooperation, including the formation of joint research centers, and focus on exchanges and cooperation in both platforms of the School of International Cultural Exchanges, School of Journalism, School of International Relations, School of Silk Road, and fields of regional and country studies, Russian language and culture, and Chinese language and literature.
Evgeny Vlasov expressed his gratitude to RUC for its reception. He introduced the basic information of Far Eastern Federal University. He also expressed his support and expectations for cooperation between the two universities in joint cultivation, student exchange and humanistic exchanges.
Both sides also discussed signing an inter-school memorandum of understanding, establishing a cooperation mechanism and promoting exchanges between teachers and students in detail.
Zhai Dongsheng, Vice Dean of the School of International Relations, Li Chen, head of the Institute of Regional Country Studies, Song Yang, Vice Dean of the School of International Relations, Zhang Di, head of the Department of International Journalism and Communication of the School of Journalism, Qin Tingting, Representative Office of the Russian Far Eastern Federal University in Beijing, attended the meeting.
