The University of Notre Dame visits Renmin University of China

On the 22nd of October, the University of Notre Dame’s Vice President and Associate Provost for Internationalization, Dr. Nicholas Entrikin, and Assistant Provost for Internationalization, Dr. Jonathan Noble visited Renmin University to establish a deeper relationship. Greeting the Distinguished Notre Dame faculty were Vice President of International Affairs, Dr. Yi Zhihong, and Deputy Director of the International Office, Dr. Shi Jiayou. Dr. Entrikin spoke about Notre Dame’s renowned Mendoza School of Business, which was ranked number one by the Bloomberg Business Review. Dr. Entrikin also mentioned their internationalization initiative that focuses on exploring regional and global connections throughout Asia, Notre Dame has even established an Institute for Asia and Asian Studies located in Zhongguancun, Beijing.

 Vice President Yi shared the desire to expand internationally, and spoke very highly of the international community that Renmin University has developed. Deputy Director Shi described Renmin University’s various partnerships with European and American universities, and hoped to establish greater ties with Notre Dame. Renmin University and the University Of Notre Dame agreed that increased student exchange would improve each other’s international communities.
