Afghani Ambassador to China visits Renmin University

On Wednesday, November 7th, Vice-President Yi Zhihong welcomed the Afghani Ambassador to China, Sultan Ahmad Baheen. Ambassador Baheen expressed his admiration and respect for China and Renmin, and hoped that Chinese students would be open to studying at the University of Kabul, Afghanistan. The University of Kabul offers courses in English and Chinese.

 

Vice-President Yi said that scholarly exchange and increased communication would be mutually beneficial. Vice-President Yi also mentioned the China Scholarship Council and its key role in facilitating student exchange.

Deputy Director of the International Office, Cheng Xin, outlined Renmin University’s English programs and International Summer School. Joint research projects were mentioned as potential points of collaboration.

Ambassador Baheen and Vice-President Yi felt that Chinese and Afghani relations were productive and promising in the fields of education and agriculture.
