On Wednesday, November 7th, the University of Chicago’s Associate Vice-President of Alumni Relations, Damon Cates, met with Renmin University’s Vice-President, Yi Zhihong, to discuss global alumni relations.
Vice-President Cates discussed his alumni relations initiatives, including the “Capital Campaign” and its ambitious fund-raising efforts.
Renmin University has approximately 240,000 alumni world-wide, and holds decennial reunions to foster community and celebrate achievements.
Vice-Presidents Yi and Cates discussed their desire to coordinate a seminar for alumni relations where issues such as employment, recruitment, marketing, and fund-raising could be examined.
Renmin University and the University of Chicago seek to broaden each other’s networks of opportunity by taking advantage of alumni relations.
