About the Speaker:
Xu Jiaxing, a native of Fengxin, Jiangxi Province, is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Philosophy, Beijing Normal University. His primary research focuses on Chinese philosophy, particularly the study of the Four Books and Neo-Confucianism of the Song and Ming dynasties. He is the author of several scholarly works, including Classics and Substantive Principle: A Study of Zhu Xi’s Four Books Scholarship, Collected Reconstructions of Rao Lu’s Lost Works, and A Study of Rao Lu’s Philosophical Thought, in addition to publishing over a hundred academic papers. He also holds concurrent appointments as Adjunct Professor at the International Confucian Academy of China University of Political Science and Law, Executive Council Member of the Zhu Xi Society, Council Member of the Chinese Association for the History of Philosophy, Council Member of the Chinese Confucius Association, and Academic Committee Member of both the Guiyang Confucius Academy and the Kaoting Academy.
