2013.07.18
On 18th July, 2013, Vice president Yang Huilin met with Madame Cindy Fan, Interim Vice Provost for International Programs from UCLA. During the meeting, both sides reviewed cooperation between RUC and UCLA in the field of literature, foreign languages studies, and rural economy. Vice president Yang introduced RUC International summer school in detail, and said a substantial cooperation between univerisites greatly relies on students exchanges. Exchange activities between Chinese and American college students sometimes are restricted by factors such as language and credit system, and RUC’s International summer school can help lift these barriers. Cindy Fan said she has been actively engaged with academic cooperation with RUC, therefore had a good understanding of RUC’s strength. She was interested in RUC’s International summer school and recognized the student exchanges proposed by President Yang. 1 Both sides agreed that International Offices of the two sides will further follow up the cooperation details so as to achieve substantial progress in the near future.
