In recent days, Professor Sun Yu’s During the Republic of China was honored the most influential work by October in its 35th anniversary. Professor Sun is from Department of Literature, Renmin University of China. He attended the prize-awarding ceremony held in Museum of Modern Chinese Literature, together with Tie Ning, Mo Yan, Zhang Chengzhi, Zhang Xianliang, Li Cunbao, Liang Xiaosheng, Chi Li and Fang Fang. Professor Sun, Tie Ning and Mo Yan also presented the prizes for October Literature Awards winners. bj In its 35th anniversary, October selected the most influential 35 works composed by 28 writers, by way of Internet, media and expert voting. Professor Sun’s During the Republic of China is a compilation of his column Figures in Republic of China in October. Founded in 1978, October is considered the first literary magazine in New Age, China. It mainly publishes medium-length novels and works of other forms and genres. In recent years, October published Life and Death Fatigue, Bean Milk, TuZiqiang’s Sorrow and many other influential works.
