2015 International Forum on Innovation and Entrepreneurship Held at RUC

On October 28
th, the 2015 International Forum on Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education convened at RUC’s Mozart Concert Hall. The forum was aimed at bringing together experts in and outside of academia in the field of entrepreneurship education to generate dialogue on the global challenges young innovators and entrepreneurs face today.
The forum was sponsored by Renmin University’s Student Employment and Entrepreneurship Guidance Center and the RUC Business School. Among those in attendance were RUC Vice President HONG Dayong, Head of the School of Business, Management, and Economics at the University of Sussex, Professor Steven McGuire, and members of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization.

Renmin University and the University of Sussex signed a joint agreement marking the launch of the “International Alliance for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education.”
The forum, as was pointed out, offered an important impetus for the future direction of innovation and entrepreneurship education. Professor Steven Maguire noted that his school is committed to academic research on innovation management; he looks forward to further cooperation with Renmin University in the near future.
After the opening ceremony, eleven scholars and professionals shared their expertise on the topics of "Entrepreneurship Education and Innovation Management in a Digital Age" and “Entrepreneurship Education Relevant to the World We Live In.”
