On the morning of April 27th, delegates from Renmin University and the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government came together to sign a “Memorandum of Agreement between the City of Shenzhen and Renmin University of China on the Joint Establishment of RUC’s Shenzhen Campus.” There to attend the ceremony were Shenzhen’s Party Secretary, MA Xingrui, and RUC Chairwoman JIN Nuo; RUC President LIU Wei and the Mayor of Shenzhen, XU Qin, represented the respective sides as signatories of the agreement. Party Secretary MA, Vice Mayor WU Yihuan along with other Shenzhen city officials, as well as RUC’s Executive Vice President WANG Liming and Assistant to the President ZHENG Shuiquan, acted as witnesses to the signing. Deputy Director of the Shenzhen City Bureau of Education, XU Jianling, Deputy District Chief of Shenzhen’s Bao’an District, HU Xiyin, Director of Renmin University’s Alumni Office, GUO Haiying, Associate Director of the Shenzhen Research Center LIU Chengyun, the school office’s assistant director LIU Zaibo, and the vice president of the Shenzhen Alumni Association, WANG Xin’an, also attended the ceremony.
