From June 7^th -8^th, the State Council Information Office of the People's Republic of China and the State Administration of Radio, Film, and Television jointly hosted the 12^th “China Book International” forum and award ceremony in Chengdu. Renmin University Press was presented with the award for Excellency in International Promotion, a distinction it has earned no less than eight times since 2008. President of Renmin University Press, LI Yongqiang, attended the ceremony and accepted the award. RUC Press has since its inception worked steadily to promote Chinese scholarly publications abroad and has in recent years pioneered a number of groundbreaking projects in cooperation with academic publishers in other countries. As such, the press has gained a reputation as an important Chinese academic publisher focused on “going global” and working towards bringing more Chinese scholarly output to global markets.
